Practical and Theory Driving Tests Set to Resume03 July 2020
The Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) has announced that driving lessons and theory tests can resume from this Saturday, 4th July. Driving tests will start again from Wednesday 22ndJuly. This is for England only.
This follows two months of no lessons or tests as a result of the Coronavirus lockdown restrictions.
The extended delay in restarting the driving tests is an attempt to provide learner drivers the opportunity to take refresher lessons ahead of their test.
Strict social distancing measures have been put in place to help stop the risk of any possible spread of the Coronavirus and details will be explained when any bookings are made.
Learner drivers looking to book and attend any lessons/tests are advised that they must cancel if they have any symptoms of Coronavirus, including a fever or persistent cough.
At present, Scotland and Wales have not lifted the lockdown rules meaning lessons and tests are still cancelled. Different dates have been announced for Northern Ireland and full details are available here
