Lockdown Two - An Update From Leasing Options04 November 2020
As the country enters its second lockdown, we wanted to give you an update from the team at LeasingOptions.
As ever, our first thoughts are with our customers and staff and we hope everyone can stay safe and healthy.
The majority of our team are still working from home, with very few working within the office now. All staff are advised to wear masks in communal spaces and maintain a safe, two-meter distance from each other. The office is cleaned thoroughly on a regular basis and anti-bacterial wipes are readily available throughout the office, as well as hand sanitiser.
In terms of customers, it’s still business as usual for us. New orders are still being taken and when possible, delivery dates will be confirmed but we are asking for flexibility as dates are subject to change due to challenges faced by the manufacturers and their logistics networks.
Finance checks are continuing as usual, but again, we are experiencing some delays due to third-party pressures. We are working tirelessly to increase our communications so that you know exactly where your order is up to at all times.
When delivering cars, we are offering a contactless service. Each car is thoroughly cleaned and sanitised before being delivered. Once the car arrives with you – it is re-sanitised – including the keys – and then the keys are left in an agreed safe place to reduce unnecessary contact and increased risk.
During November, we will still be permitted to deliver and collect vehicles in all parts of the UK. Our trade body, the BVRLA, is in constant communication with the UK and devolved governments, to ensure that we can continue to operate across the nation in the weeks ahead.
It's also important to note that the FCA has outlined plans to extend the support measures available to existing motor-finance customers. Under the proposals, customers who have not yet had a payment deferral will be able to ask for one. This could last for up to six months, unless it is deemed not to be in the customer's interests. Customers who are currently benefiting from a deferral will also be able to request a second deferral.
The FCA is working with funders on how to implement the proposals, as quickly as possible.
It is important to note that this support is intended for existing customers; Leasing Options is committed to treating customers fairly and we will always do our best to ensure that new orders are suitable and ensure 'positive outcomes', given your particular needs and circumstances.

Our operating hours are:
Monday to Wednesday: 9am to 7pm
Thursday: 9am to 6pm
Friday: 9am to 5.30pm
