Engine and Performance
The Juke keeps things simple with two engine choices: petrol or hybrid.
Petrol options both use the same 1.0-litre turbocharged three-cylinder engine putting out 114hp. You can have it with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic (DCT). The manual's slightly quicker to 62mph (10.7s vs 11.8s) and a touch more economical at 48mpg compared to the auto's 45mpg. Both will hit 112mph flat out, which is more than you'll ever need.
The hybrid steps things up with 143hp from its petrol-electric combo and a 6-speed DCT auto. It's the quickest of the bunch at 10.1 seconds to 62mph, though the top speed drops to 103mph - not that you'll notice in real-world driving. The big win is economy at 58mpg, which makes a real difference to your fuel bills.
All engines are front-wheel drive only, so no fancy AWD system here. The hybrid uses a dedicated transmission that splits power between a 4-speed setup for the petrol engine and 2-speed for the electric motor - pretty clever stuff that keeps the driving smooth.

Which Juke Is Best For You?
No matter which Juke trim you choose, you're getting Nissan's bold and distinctive SUV design that continues to dominate on UK roads.
The extra cost as you move up the trim levels primarily comes from enhanced technology, premium interiors, and a more advanced safety system. The N-Connecta delivers excellent value by adding the 12.3" driver display, wireless charging, and intelligent key functionality whereas The higher trims like Tekna and N-Sport include those optional packs as standard – the BOSE audio system, 360-degree camera, heat pack and comprehensive safety features that would otherwise cost you an extra £1,000-£1,300.
If you're happy with core functionality and want a well-equipped small SUV under £26k, the Acenta Premium or N-Connecta are solid choices. However, if you value premium audio, not being freezing in the winter or want that sporty N-Sport styling with its striking yellow Alcantara details, the higher trims may be worth the upgrade.
