Lockdown 2.0 MOT and Service Update

The Government has confirmed that MOT test centres are allowed to stay open during the second lockdown.

Motorists that are due to take their vehicles for its MOT can still book them in and should do as soon as possible, as many are experiencing delays due to backlogs caused by the deferral of MOT tests in the spring.

It’s important to note that, in light of this, MOT extensions are unlikely to be granted.

Service garages have also been granted permission to remain open during the second lockdown, as they have been classed as ‘essential’ businesses.

If vehicles require any maintenance or its regular service, motorists should contact their garage or lease company to book it in as usual.

For any LeasingOptions customers who have questions about their vehicles and their current MOT/service status, please get in touch with our team who are still fully operational.
