Mercedes-Benz have revealed images of the first ever four door A-Class at China Auto 2018 in Beijing, which will likely arrive on these shores in the first part of 2019.
The A-Class brand has been pivotal to Mercedes' success over the last few years so it comes as no surprise to see the German manufacturer expand the range with a larger variant.
This updated saloon shape will only be 77mm shorter than the C-Class and will have the Audi A3 firmly in its sights. The increased size will also add practicality with 50 litres more load capacity.
The cabin will be dominated by the same beautiful new dash which debuted in the latest A-Class hatchback, featuring massive dual touchscreens.
Under the bonnet there will initially be a trio a engine to pick from; a new 1.33 litre turbocharged petrol with 161bhp of poke, a larger 221bhp 2.0 petrol as well as a frugal 1.5 litre diesel with 114bhp and capable of around 68mpg.
The all new A-Class saloon will sit at the top of the range, if you'd like to be first to hear when lease pricing arrives sign up to our newsletter by entering your email address below.
