We&#39;ve recently been spending some time with the MG S5, and while there&#39;s plenty to like about it overall, five particular features really stood out.

First up is space. For a family SUV, practicality matters, and the S5 delivers with a boot that&#39;s bigger than you might expect from an EV. There&#39;s also plenty of room in the rear, with enough legroom to keep even taller passengers comfortable.

Next is something that sounds surprisingly simple: the powered tailgate. We&#39;ve tried plenty of powered boots that take what feels like an eternity to open, but the S5&#39;s is refreshingly quick. It&#39;s a small detail, but exactly the sort of thing you appreciate when you&#39;re using the car every day.

Number three is the dual phone storage with space for two devices, allowing one person to use the wireless charger while the other can still keep their phone securely stored and within easy reach. We even tried it with different-sized iPhones and both fitted comfortably.

The infotainment system also deserves some attention with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, MG includes built-in apps such as Spotify, YouTube and TikTok. Video playback is restricted while you&#39;re driving, but when you&#39;re parked up, waiting for someone or charging the car, it&#39;s a great little addition.

And finally, our nuber one is the Piccadilly Blue**. It&#39;s becoming something of a signature colour for MG&#39;s SUV range, and it really suits the S5. It&#39;s bright enough to give the car some personality without becoming too loud or over the top.

One of our favourite features is something surprisingly simple: the wireless phone charger has its own built-in cooling fan. It helps prevent your phone from overheating while charging, making it a genuinely useful addition rather than just another gimmick.

Inside, the light grey leather and microsuede seats immediately caught our attention. They have a slightly retro feel that sets them apart from many rivals, while also being supportive, comfortable and giving the cabin a premium atmosphere.

We begin with the sports seats, which immediately set the tone for the Leon&#39;s hot hatch character. Available in either cloth or leather depending on the trim level, they provide excellent support and make every drive feel that little bit more engaging.

Next up is the lighting. It wouldn&#39;t be one of our videos without mentioning it! The ambient lighting inside the cabin and the puddle lights beneath the mirrors are subtle touches, but they give the Leon a much more premium feel, especially at night.

One of our favourite hidden details is the cleverly integrated boot release. Tucked away beneath the rear light bar, it keeps the rear of the car looking clean and uncluttered, while the boot itself remains surprisingly practical for everyday use.

The Cupra Leon also strikes an excellent balance between fun and efficiency. The 1.5-litre engine is capable of returning over 50mpg, yet thanks to its compact dimensions and sharp steering, it still delivers the engaging driving experience you&#39;d expect from a hot hatch.

Another feature we quickly came to appreciate was the electric folding seat system. Both the second and third rows can be folded at the touch of a button, making it incredibly easy to switch from carrying passengers to carrying larger items. It&#39;s the sort of convenience feature you don&#39;t think about until you need it.

BMW&#39;s optional Comfort Pack also deserves a mention. Heated and cooled cupholders might sound completely unnecessary, but they&#39;re exactly the kind of over-the-top luxury feature that makes the X7 feel special. Add in heated armrests and it&#39;s hard not to smile at just how indulgent it all feels.

Of course, the headline act is the 4.4-litre twin-turbocharged V8. The soundtrack is every bit as good as you&#39;d hope, delivering a deep, muscular soundtrack that perfectly matches the X7&#39;s performance credentials. It&#39;s a reminder that despite its size, this is still very much an M Performance model.

Topping our list is the overall fun factor. The X7 M60i somehow manages to combine luxury, technology, practicality and serious performance into a single package. It&#39;s huge, incredibly capable and surprisingly entertaining to drive, making it one of the most memorable SUVs we&#39;ve spent time with.

Starting with the space, the rear legroom is genuinely impressive. Even taller passengers will have loads of room in the back, helping the C10 feel much larger inside than you might expect at first glance.

Another feature that stood out was the alloy wheel design. While a lot of EVs now use flatter aerodynamic wheels, the dark grey alloys on the C10 feel much more traditional and give the car a slightly sportier, more familiar look that works really well with the futuristic styling.

The practicality continues with the boot space. There&rsquo;s plenty of room for luggage, shopping or golf clubs, while the additional underfloor storage helps keep charging cables tucked neatly away.

One of the more surprising details was the rear light bar, which gives the car a much more premium feel than you might expect in this segment. The design reminded us of some much more expensive SUVs and helps the rear of the C10 stand out at night.

Top of the list though has to be the camera system. The reverse camera view is incredibly clean and easy to use, while the 3D transparent chassis view feels genuinely futuristic and adds a really clever touch to everyday driving and parking.

We also spent time with the Mist Tailored Knit interior with Zinc Deco trim &mdash; a name that&rsquo;s definitely a mouthful, but more importantly, it feels comfortable, premium and refreshingly bright compared to darker interiors often found in performance-focused EVs.

One feature that stood out quickly in day-to-day driving was the one-pedal driving system. The regenerative braking is strong enough to bring the car to a complete stop, meaning once you get used to it, driving starts to feel smooth and effortless around town.

Of course, we also had to mention the lack of a rear window. Instead of traditional rear glass, the Polestar 4 uses a solid rear panel paired with a digital rear-view mirror. It helps maintain the sleek coupe-style shape while also improving rear passenger headroom &mdash; and surprisingly, the camera system feels incredibly natural to use.

Finally, there&rsquo;s the performance. The long-range dual-motor version delivers 536hp and a 0&ndash;60mph time of just 3.7 seconds. It feels fast, responsive and planted, while still remaining comfortable enough for everyday cruising.
