The Covid Effect: How It's Impacting Your MOT Test Booking

The Covid-19 pandemic affected nearly every aspect of our lives, and the automotive world is no exception.

One area that continues to be affected, is MOTs.

During the height of the pandemic, the UK government granted an extension for MOT test deadlines for vehicles due between March 30, 2020, and July 31, 2020.

There were also some supply chain disruptions which affected the availability of essential parts and materials for vehicle repairs and maintenance work.

These two factors combined have created a backlog of vehicles needing MOT tests and this still having an impact today.

So what does that mean for you today?

If you know your MOT is due imminently, don’t wait until the last minute. Plan your MOT test well in advance.

In the meantime, keep your car in good condition to reduce the chances of failing the test and needing additional repairs.

If you have leased your car from us here at Leasing Options and have our Fuel & Go package, please do get in touch with your account manager if you have any questions.
