The original C-HR shook up the crossover market when it arrived in the UK back in 2016, but despite sharing the name, the C-HR+ isn&#39;t simply an electric version of the existing hybrid. Its design feels even more futuristic, with a slick rear end and smooth curves contrasted by a much more aggressive, boxy front.

Toyota offers three trim levels: Icon, Design and Excel, with the range-topping Excel featured in our video. Practicality is solid, with a decent-sized boot that includes storage for your charging cable and plenty of room for passengers. The Excel also gets a smart combination of suede and synthetic leather upholstery.

There&#39;s plenty of useful technology up front too. Storage is generous, while two wireless phone chargers come as standard, removing the inevitable argument over whose phone gets charged first.
