The second model to be released in the Mercedes EQ range, following on from the EQC, is the smaller EQA. Based on the GLA, it has a 190bhp electric motor / 66kWh battery with a range of up to 265 miles and is capable of being charged from 20 - 80% on a fast charger (100kW) in just 30 minutes.
The EQA is offered in four trim levels: Sport, AMG Line, AMG Line Premium and AMG Line Premium Plus. The Sport comes equipped with automatic headlights, cruise control and a reversing camera, whilst in addition the AMG Line includes restyled bumpers, 20" alloys and brushed metal accents in the cabin. The Premium trim level includes wireless phone-charging, 64 colour ambient lighting, upgraded sat-nav and an advanced infotainment system.
The EQA is practical for a young or small family, with seating for five adults and a boot capacity of 340 litres, expanding to 1,320 litres with the rear seats down; making it slightly smaller than the equivalent GLA, the model that the EQA is based upon.
