
New Maserati Ghibli Hybrid
20 July 2020Announced on Thursday in Modena, Maserati has electrified the new Ghibli Hybrid, just as its sister brand Alfa Romeo embarked on a new era of design, Maserati starts its new ear with the Ghibli Hybrid. Its hybrid technology is designed to up performance whilst reducing overall fuel consumption and tailpipe emissions.
Powered by a 4 cylinder 2.0-litre turbo engine which is paired with an electric supercharger, which Maserati is calling the e-Booster, produces a combined 330hp and 450 NM of torque, giving the Ghibli Hybrid a 0-62 time of 5,7 seconds. One thing returning is the boomerang taillights last seen on the 3200 GT.
The famous high revving V8s may have gone, but Maserati says, the optimised exhaust with specially designed resonators to keep the occupants entertained.
Just like all Italian interiors, its sculptured, swopping and perfectly proportioned mixture of luxury and sportiness.
Upgrades include a larger infotainment system increased from 8.4-inch to 10.1-inch and a new digital instrument panel.
This new era of hybrid Maserati's has blue accents throughout to identify its hybrid technology, seen on the brake callipers, air ducts, and seat embroidery.
The new era of Maserati and a Hybrid Ghibli are the first steps to a fully electric future, with the GranTurismo and GranCabrio scheduled for 2021 being the brands first fully electric cars.
