Honda Honda E Car Lease
Introducing the Honda e, the first fully electric car from the innovative Japanese manufacturer, who is ahead of the pack when it comes to electric vehicles. Explore our best Honda e lease deals below and see how you can drive a brand-new EV for less.
Take your pick from two outputs – the e, which has 132bhp and a 9-second 0-60 time, or you can choose the e Advance, with 152bp and an 8.3-second 0-60 time. Both outputs offer a WLTP range of 130 miles for 132bhp and a slightly reduced 127 miles on the e Advance.
This retro-styled, five-door hatchback from Honda features circular headlights, plus gloss black exterior trim details. From the side, you might mistake it for a three-door, with its cleverly concealed rear door handles and flush handles on the front doors. It’s also available in five colours, including Crystal Black Pearl, Modern Steel Metallic, Charge Yellow, Crystal Blue Metallic and Platinum White Pearl. All colourways come with black detailing front and rear and a black charging port on the bonnet.
The whole car is very reminiscent of the original Civic. The compact body size is great for zipping around the city centre and the short overhangs make manoeuvring and parking easy. There’s no external wing or door mirrors either – instead, there are two door cameras which project images onto two dedicated screens at either side of the dash.
Inside the cabin, it’s the opposite to the beautifully styled, nostalgic exterior. The dashboard features three different screens laid out across the top of the dash, one for the driver instrument display and the other for the infotainment or passenger use. Although with the two-spoke, chunky steering wheel, there is a nostalgic flair.
What’s more, the two central screens are fully customisable, allowing the front seat occupants to display mapping, vehicle or music information. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are standard on both Honda e outputs and allow the driver to bring a familiar infotainment experience. There are multiple USB charging ports around the cabin to keep everyone's device topped up, plus you’ll find a 230v outlet in the dash of the e Advance.
The cabin can seat four, with enough room for taller passengers on short trips. Anything longer might be a squeeze, but with a range of 130 miles, we see the Honda e as the perfect city car instead of a long-distance cruiser. The boot is perfectly sized for city living at 171 litres with the rear seats up and expanding to 861 litres folded flat.
On the road, the Honda e handles city driving well, soaking up potholes and bumps whilst keeping the ride smooth. As the road gets twisted, despite is tall silhouette, there is little body roll in the corners, with surprising acceleration from its two output choices.
