Mazda 3
The competitively priced mazda 3 is one of the roomiest cars in its class with a good-sized boot which can be extended with the 60/40 rear seats.
Its serves up excellent performance in the higher engines. the 1.6S is smotth whilst the 2.0 is fast andflexible.
The cabin may not be as appealing as a Vauxhall Astra or VW Golf but it is sturdy and comfortable.
the mazda 3's reliability record is excellent and it comes with twin front and side airbags as standard and anti-lock breakes with Electronic Brake Distribution.
A Great all rounder medium-sized vehicle at a price to beat any of its competitors in the same class.

Volvo C30
Volvo C30
Volvo has built a groundbreaking new car, the C30. Volvo who is famed for building big and safe cars has built a small, safe and very inspiring new car. Whether you love or hate the radical styling, you have it admit it’s new and exciting. With sharp handling, loads of grip and a range of engines that go from strong to very strong whilst remaining mostly economical, the aggressive styling of the new Volvo C30 is definitely more than just skin deep. Inside the C30 continues to excite with a fabulous layout of 4 full seats instead of the traditional bench in the back. All the seats are comfy and everything in the cabin is well laid out and made using high quality materials that have been screwed together very well. The real showstopper though is the floating dash; it really does have to be seen to be fully appreciated.

Vauxhall Astra
Vauxhall Astra
The Astra is brilliantly reliable, but it has been for a long time. It is cost efficient, but again it always has been. Now the ‘new’ Vauxhall Astra has managed to do the one thing it was always missing, its huge amounts of fun to drive.
Visually, the new Astra is a very appealing car. The designers at Vauxhall struck the balance just right between updating the look to get a modern feel, whilst still making it appeal to all markets. Inside, the Astra continues to impress with everything feeling well built, sturdy and still soft to the touch. There is plenty of room to seat four adults plus their luggage.
For its price, all models come reasonably well equipped. The entry model comes as standard with electric front windows, power steering and remote central locking. Move up a model and you also get a CD player.
The real buzz about the new Astra is the driving appeal. It is now one of the best to drive in its class, which is a real accomplishment since it shares its class with cars like the Focus and Golf. The handling is nimble and with plenty of grip, the steering is direct and the ride is supple. There is also a massive range of engines to choose from as you would expect, ranging from the sprightly 1.4 petrol to the mighty 237bhp 2.0 turbo VXR.
