Car leasing customers who are looking into having a stop-start system in their next vehicle will soon be able to turn to Mazda.

The company is developing their own system that they say restarts the engine twice as quick as its rivals and will improve fuel economy by nine per cent. The system is about to start being tested on the Mazda 3 before its launched next year.
