Whilst the Americans are raving about hybrids the Japanese, in the form of Toyota, are playing down their arrival. Toyota is trying to play down the performance of these new hybrids and urges caution with regards to range and efficiency. They cite the fact that vehicles never perform in the real world as they do during their testing and the figures will be drastically reduced.
On the other side of the coin Ford bosses are insisting that Hybrid power should be a national priority. They are looking to the government to provide incentives for firms to work hard towards developing hybrid technologies. With the cost of fuel constantly rising its not only your conscience but your pocket too that is persuading car leasing customers to look for hybrid alternatives.
