All cars sold in the EU from November 2011 will have to have stability control on board. Its a new mandate announced by the European Parliament to increase safety of new cars on the road. Many cars do have stability control as standard and most will offer it as an option but currently only half of new cars actually reach the roads with the system. The new rule will correct all that and car companies now have plenty of time to get ready for the switch.
